NexGen: Making Wood Perfect.
It's a good tag line, but what does that actually mean?
It means that when you build a home, you never need to worry about fire, or about mould or insect damage.
It means that if you're manufacturing wood products like CLT's or glulams, or even dimensional lumber, and you want to protect it, you don't need to do so at the expense of the environment or paying outrageous prices to do it.
It means you don't need to spend large amounts of money for this peace of mind, but instead only pennies per square foot.
It means you don't need special equipment to apply the coatings, it's so simple.
It means you get a warranty for fire, mould, rot, decay, and insect damage protection, those things wood SHOULD be protected from, and you get this warranty at no additional cost to you.
NexGen Wood Protection, a Canadian company, is the world's only manufacturer of these unique, non-toxic, eco-friendly protective wood coatings. Only with NexGen will the entire wood package used in construction projects be:
- protected from fire
- protected from mould, mildew, and all wood-boring insects, including all
- protected using only non-toxic, eco-friendly chemicals
- insured by the world's only global warranty for all of the above (yes,
And again, all this protection comes at a cost of less than 1% to the overall building costs.
Why would anyone say not to this protection? At the very least, shouldn't everyone who's building with wood be given the option?
And if your builder isn't asking you if you want NexGen, you need to ask them.
In addition to the Sydney Opera House, NexGen was a key supplier for the Panama Canal Expansion Project, the EU's tallest (30m) wood-clad building used NexGen on all the cladding, and for CLT / glulam projects, such as the all-wood Penticton Lakeside Resort, NexGen has become the go-to protection provider.
Why are they, and so many additional CLT / wood builders on six continents, choosing NexGen?
NexGen is applied to wood just once in a single application process (brushing, rolling, spraying, flood coating, dipping, or even pressure treatment). Once it air dries (1-3 hours), NexGen forms the ultimate protection for wood – and it costs a fraction of current wood treatments, and comes fully warranted at no additional cost.

What is NexGen?
This video (left) was taken at a test sponsored by the UK Timber Frame Association. As you can see, after all the flammable accelerants are burned away, the NexGen ADVANCED barrier stops the flames from getting into the wood beams and OSB panels. What is most exciting is that the flame did not spread at all into the second story.
If this were a real-world event, the dwellings above, below, and beside the test dwelling would have been undamaged.
